🚀 Getting Started — 4 steps

1️⃣
Set up your profile
Click your name at the bottom-left of the sidebar. Set your display name and choose your personal team color. Your color appears on all your tasks, contracts, and avatars throughout the app.
2️⃣
Add your team first
Go to Team Directory and add all team members before creating projects or contracts. Each member needs a name, role, and color. Add email, phone, and hourly rate for payment tracking.
3️⃣
Create a project or event
Use 📋 Projects for any work project — construction, admin, consulting, IT, anything with a team and a budget. Use 🎉 Events for parades, galas, fundraisers, festivals, and community events.
4️⃣
Assign contracts and tasks
Create contracts to define how much a team member earns and when payment triggers. Add tasks to track the actual work. Both link to projects and team members with color-coded avatars.

📋 Projects Module

Any type of project
Not just construction. Use this for admin work, client deliverables, renovations, IT projects, consulting, services — anything with a team, budget, and tasks to track.

Contracts & Payments
Create one contract per team member per project. Choose the payment trigger: automatic on task completion, when a milestone is reached, or manual on owner approval. The Pay button appears automatically when payment is due.

Tasks
Add tasks to any project or event and assign to a team member (shown by their color). Set due dates and priority (urgent, high, medium, low). Tasks group automatically by overdue, today, upcoming, and completed.

Financials
Auto-calculated from your contracts, payments, and expenses. Shows income vs expenses and net profit by project and by event side by side. Export to accounting software at any time.

Ticket sales
Use the +Ticket button on any event to log ticket sales. Set ticket price and total capacity when creating the event. Revenue calculates automatically in the P&L.

Sponsors — Gold / Silver / Bronze / Community
Track sponsor tier, pledged amount, payment status (paid/partial/unpaid), what they receive, and their contact. Mark as paid with one click. All sponsor revenue flows into the event P&L.

Donations
Record individual and organizational donations. Track receipt status for nonprofit compliance. Donations feed into the event P&L automatically.

Expenses & Vendors
Log every expense by category (venue, catering, entertainment, marketing, equipment, labor, materials). Link to a project or event. Mark paid when settled. Shows total pending vs paid.

👥 Roles — who sees what

Owner / Admin — full access
Sees all projects, all financials, all team members, full audit log. Can create projects, manage contracts, approve payments, and export data.

Project Manager
Sees their assigned projects, team, tasks, and contracts. Cannot see other managers' work or the full audit log.
🔧
Subcontractor / Coordinator
Sees tasks assigned to them and event overview. No access to financials, contracts, or other team members' data.

Helper / Volunteer
Sees only their assigned tasks. Simplest view — built for field workers and event volunteers on mobile phones.

Viewing as a specific team member
After selecting a role in the sidebar "Viewing as" dropdown, a second dropdown appears listing team members with that role. Select one to preview exactly what they see — their name and color appear in the sidebar footer.

All data stores in browser localStorage right now — persists across refreshes. Use Export → Excel to back up weekly. When the Supabase cloud database is connected, data syncs across all devices in real time.
